Plant seeds cannot grow without oxygen unfortunately. They have the food in the seed, and they need oxygen to produce energy from that in order to grow. After that they can do photosynthesis and produce oxygen. And even then they will need enough oxygen during nighttime. They do not have a mechanism to store oxygen for later use since they do not need that on earth.
