There are several species which engages in social learning, which means that they will pass on knowledge from older to younger individuals (and, thus, does not need to re-invent all knowledge from scratch). They are, of course, not as effective as us, but they have to start somewhere and given time to evolve they might reach our level. The ones most likely to evolve into the next dominant life form after us would be the Corvids, they fulfill all of your point to some degree | |
