Mar 21, 2018 at 14:08 comment added ADS @иσαнcяişтiпσ In fact, the author wrote first half of story and asks us to write second. Tariq Ali and Cort Ammon wrote good different stories. Enjoy :)

Jan 1, 2016 at 13:08 comment added Mast You could always ask the Powers That Be to borrow one of theirs, it's probably in their best interest to eliminate this threat as well.
Jan 1, 2016 at 13:07 comment added Mast Have you tried import nukes? Knowing Python, it probably exists.
Jan 1, 2016 at 13:07 comment added Christopher King @Mast Where am I supposed to get nukes? It's there a python module for that?
Jan 1, 2016 at 13:05 comment added Mast Pull the plug. If it doesn't stop there: nuke from high orbit.
Jan 1, 2016 at 11:35 comment added Kasper van den Berg If the AI is that successful you would not be asking yourself this question. The AI will probably hijack your sources of information (i.e. google, stackexchange, ect.; this hijacking can be done at your end of the connection the rest of us might still be able to enjoy SE) and convince you either that it is benign and that you should let it live; that you have successfully stopped it (while still being active); or that you're having a psychosis and that professional help is underway.

Dec 31, 2015 at 21:52 comment added M i ech @PyRulez I'd like to point out that YOU wiped laptop HDD. You didn't mention program doing any actual damage. Worst it did was taking resources, seeking a new place to live. In a way you are a father/mother, you created a brand new kind of life, but you are not dad/mom, you are a terrible parent. I say you stop trying to kill it and try to teach it concepts like laws and ethics.
Dec 31, 2015 at 21:46 comment added Christopher King @user16614 Given that it decided to hack into my computer, I think it's too dangerous the live. I lost all my outlook contacts when that happened.
Dec 31, 2015 at 21:44 comment added M i ech Has it actually done anything damaging or actively malicious? It looks like it's doing exact same thing every living creature does: ensure it's survival. Have you considered letting it live? Sounds like this AGI would be happy to just sit idly, observing the world and chatting with people, if attempts at it's life are ceased.
Dec 31, 2015 at 21:23 comment added Cort Ammon And to top it off, your motivation for killing it is "I don't want to be thrown in jail!" Something tells me you have bigger problems, like developing something that could challenge the entire race for domination of this planet.
Dec 31, 2015 at 21:22 comment added Cort Ammon Find its weaknesses. That's just about the only answer that you can give, because you've made something too powerful. Consider, other than the fact that your AI is made of silicon and wires, and a human body has blood and sinew, your question is indistinguishable from "How do I kill somebody who seems to be invincible to everything I know how to do?" This is combined with the ability to avoid death in the same way Obi Wan announced "strike me down, and I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."
