If you were to allow seasons to be defined locally rather than globally, you would find that even on Earth, you would have seasons with very different lengths. In small capacity, we do, thus the wet and dry seasons some places have and the night and day seasons you have near the poles.

Germany winter can be 12 weeks or 3 weeks long, every year is different. No need for fancy astronomy, just weather.
