Minimizing bleeding, maximizing killing
@TheDemonLord But, how do you capture someone who can destroy the city by slight injuries to themselves? That comes into play before you can capture and convict said criminals.

Cooking denatures the blood though. Do the predators still chase after that?

@Fallenspacerock "There aren't going to be survivors or victors in this god forsaken world anyways! Let's take them with us! Launch the pig! Or it'll be you on that trebuchet!"

Hmmm but the water pistols leave water residue on them. That's going to be a problem if there are other creatures around, which apparently there always are.

Oh wait. You could just cook it whole. Surely that does something to the blood.

But then how do you eat your lunch? Swallow it whole?

Unless they are more like mice. That's pretty much what Xenomorphs are: fast breeding and capable of living hidden amongst human dwellings. But then they would need to somehow not cause ecological collapse, which xenomorphs always do. Green, environmentally sustainable xenomorphs.

How to build a defensive wall that Stone Mages can't easily deconstruct?
I think the issue with peat big is it is highly flammable.

Would a saber-toothed predator make a good draught animal?
@Nosajimiki Well, to be fair, it's probably not worth the effort to chase down such small prey anyways. I imagine that's why humans can throw: for smaller prey.

@Nosajimiki However, cats also follow that same premise. A cat is more lethal than a dog of the same size, so you can't compare sizes between cats and dogs as a proxy for relative lethality. If it were equally easy to improve the obedience of cats, you would expect the largest dog and the largest cat to have the same potential lethality and similar obedience level; Just the cat is smaller because it can pack more lethality in the same sized package. You don't see this though. The largest cat is not as obedient as the largest dog and less dangerous. That points to temperament as an obstacle.

Which colors were rare for leather to be dyed?
@Nosajimiki Which makes it rare to the extreme! Could only be acknowledged as a little wizard's book. It could work if the character is a wizard or alchemist or something of the like. It is a research diary after all. It'd be like finding a book bound in one of the synthetic elements in modern times. Probably as close as you can get to the Silmarils in the real world.

Aluminum bound book.

How could I make literacy universal in a medieval society?
@FlaStorm32 If you reading god's word is beyond you then the devil has tainted you! If the illiteracy cannot be exorcised out of you there is only one way left to deal with you...

Would a futuristic civilization still use animals for ground transportation?
Peasants pick the best tool for a given job. Nobility picks what is in vogue.

If the Imperium in Warhammer 40k can get away with the widespread use of swords against hyper advanced aliens with no reasonable explanation, so too can you have Chocobos.

How to make animal husbandry the only agriculture possible
@Rhomaioi Lichen grow way too slowly. The fastest is a rate that is still 1/3 that of continental drift. If you want a non-renewable resource that is alive, lichen would be it.
