I'm a writer and an intern, and I figure skate for fun. Worldbuilding is my favorite hobby, though - it's an escape. I write what I call "hard fantasy" – I like to thoroughly establish the laws of magic to the point that they're more or less alternative physics. The plot of my current novel actually follows a group of experimental alchemists as they discover the laws of magic.
