Questions tagged [dimensions]

For questions pertaining to the structure or number of realities in a fictional setting. Soft sci-fi dimensions are often "alternate planes" separate from the "real" plane; think "hyperspace." Hard sci-fi dimensions use the mathematical concept of dimensions, in which 1-D space is defined as a line, 2-D space is defined as a plane, 3-D space typically produces Euclidean geometry, and 4-D+ space has exotic properties.
