I had a couple of PCs in my room at my parents' house: very dusty, no aircon, boiling hot in summer, freezing cold in winter. Before moving out I sealed one within plastic bags with some tape. The other one I just left there (it was old even in 2003!). When I moved back in, 3 and a half years later the sealed one worked like a charm and the other one wouldn't even start. A bit of cleaning made it work, but the hard drive had been ruined. When you turned it on, it wouldn't recognize the disc. | |
