Aug 3, 2017 at 20:28 comment added Matt Bowyer Giant petrol bombs have been used - during the Omani Civil War 55 gallon drums of AVTUR (thickened with plastics) were dropped by the Royal Air Force and Sultan of Oman's Air Force against rebels - known as Burmail bombs. Of course 55-gal drums are metal, but the principle would work just as well with a plastic or even wooden barrel.
Aug 3, 2017 at 16:24 comment added BMS21 @HoldOffHunger You are indeed correct (oops), however I believe it could still work if it was wooden provided it was sturdy, of good quality and well treated!

Gun is plastic not wooden!
Aug 3, 2017 at 16:14 comment added user28294 "In the Line of Fire" had a plastic gun, not a wooden one.
Aug 3, 2017 at 12:35 comment added BMS21 @AricFowler Im not sure if bone could withstand the force of the gunpowder explosion. My calculations say no but they look ridiculous so I'm sure I've done something wrong!
Aug 3, 2017 at 10:50 comment added Aric @BSM bone for musket barrels? something similar?
Aug 3, 2017 at 10:16 comment added BMS21 Just wondering about graphite and salt ion based Tasers, any way of doing it?
Aug 3, 2017 at 9:48 comment added BMS21 @L.Dutch Of course you're correct so people would have to satisfy themselves with some sturdy/treated materials until they find any diamond.
Aug 3, 2017 at 9:46 comment added BMS21 @AricFowler Heavier materials are possible but the better springs are then needed to keep the moving with enough velocity. Muskets originally were less guns and more mini-cannons. If you can think of a way to use gunpowder with destroying the firearm in the process then that would still be more effective.
Aug 3, 2017 at 9:45 comment added L.Dutch Diamonds are pretty rare even though we have metals to mine them... if we had to wait a river to erode the rocks and bring them ashore a diamond spade would be worth a kingdom
Aug 3, 2017 at 9:44 comment added BMS21 @Molot get your spade out XD, it is possible to use wooden or stone drills also precious minerals aren't out of the question, diamond tipped drills could do the trick whether they are real or man-made carbon based.
Aug 3, 2017 at 9:35 comment added Mołot how would you dig / drill for petrol without metal drills/
