They could have literally seen that lightning struck a tree, lit it on fire and cooked the birds inside, and they still wouldn't have realized how it was good, because they would not be able to "imagine" the birds now being edible, and let's say through miracle, that they did try, it would have still left them with only realizing they could cook birds. They would never come to any conclusions that would lead them onward. | |
