Jul 13, 2017 at 8:07 | comment | added | Rekesoft | What's the problem with leaving the hand of the market doing it? Unfettered capitalism will provide the lack of social mobility you look for without doing nothing special. Just keep social programs and wealth distribution low or non-existent and unequality will emerge by itself.

Aug 15, 2016 at 4:20 | comment | added | Xandar The Zenon | What exactly do you define conservatism as? Do you mean conservative, as in conserving your resources? Because that is the only definition that could be at least partially accurate based on your description.
Jul 28, 2016 at 20:52 | comment | added | John Dallman | Why do they bother with this pretence of democracy? Getting the population to back the conservative regime should be quite easy with full control of the media. Instituting a restrictive system of social classes will then get people to perpetuate the system for you. It doesn't have to be a "legal aristocracy" if breaking with the social system is sufficiently outrageous.

Jul 28, 2016 at 12:41 | comment | added | iAdjunct | There is a lot of unnecessary detail in here which is distracting to your question for anybody not willing to spend half an hour on reading a single question; I strongly suggest reducing this.
