These tunnels could radiate out from the main burrow in all directions, surfacing beyond the bonegrass field where they rise up like ant-hill towers. These towers would have vent openings pointing away from the field so that only winds coming from beyond the fields would enter the tunnel system. The towers might become a warning sign to travellers indicating where fields are located, allowing them to stay away and upwind of the dangerous areea. | |
