Feb 6, 2016 at 18:10 comment added jamesqf Indeed, if you travelled in northern Finland during the '80s (pre-USSR collapse - I don't know if it's still true) you would see occasional stretches of level road with bunkers/revetments alongside, designed for use as air bases in case of another Soviet invasion.
