It's often surprisingly hard to cut through stuff. I once watched a man try to put a cow out of its misery after it was hit by a train. He tried to cut its throat with a knife, and no matter how hard he leaned in, could not get the knife to puncture the skin. Granted we are not cows, but you get the point. | |

And anyway, if rocks are available, I just don't see the problem -- broken rocks have sharp edges, don't they? | |
