Nov 12, 2022 at 20:10 comment added AlexP An ice age occurring rapidly is a rapid change. The orbital period, the length of the day, and the surface gravity are permanent constants: they do not change, or change very slowly. Stuff which does not change cannot induce a change, let alone a rapid one.
