Glass it mostly used for windows and steel is used for supports but most buildings still use 'traditional' materials more than steel and glass. | |

Just because something is "fancy and new", it isn't necessarily better. Stone walls offer decent insulation (which can be improved), can be used to hang shelves, etc. etc. | |

Those massive edifices need metal to support them, but to persons expecting to live a thousand years, suddenly building things out of steel in an oxygen bearing atmosphere might seem like hubris. | |
