Although this speed is much less known, I could find that it's about 10 times less than Sun's galactic speed. So my initial calculations are likely 10 times off, but unfortunately solar system is still doomed. | |

But with the whole galaxy spinning, not just our particular star, wouldn't that imply a considerable tailwind that could potentially reduce the "drag"? I might very well be wrong, but this is at least what my intuition tells me. Am I wrong? | |
