The wind mage generates a strong enough force of air to send the bullets back towards the ones shooting the mage. I would assume wind that stringstrong would be dangerous on its own, but lets assume its dissipates quickly due to magic. Imagine the case where the more you attack your enemy the more ammunition your giving them to throw back at you. You may decided itdecide its easier to shoot someone else.
