I do like the idea of "you can hide but you can't run" that this leads to - characters might be able to beat the Leadfoot Brigade or whatever we're calling the diesel-shoed troops to cover, but you can't get fully away without a vehicle. | |

To give one example, average sprint speeds for 100-200m for under-15 girls are over 15 mph. Combat-fit soldiers will be more burdened with gear but have much higher fitness standards than the average person. | |
