Whether those humans will give consent for their blood to be used, or whether vampires will care about consent, is another matter. Charles Stross' "Laundry" series includes vampires for whom feeding is always lethal (even if drinking previously-donated blood); in that series the government's not-very-pleasant solution is to use donors who are terminally ill. | |
