In the latter case, you just need to heatshield that side of the head and neck and shoulders. If it's on the neck, however, then you need to shield the mouth/nose/eyes. The pictures depict both scenarios. The Pokemon and the Sauron wannabe are going to struggle, whereas the unhappy blue flamed fellow in the second picture has cause for rejoicing. Make the flames a mating display if all else fails. He/she is so hot, etc.

Dec 5, 2020 at 15:02 | comment | added | Li Jun | i dont fully read the detail so maybe this already been mention there, but i think you also need strong enough wind to make sure the fire doesnt blow to their face and keep blowing from behind i personally think the head top/temple/hair part or crown is better than in the neck or collar though, regarding the purpose human use fire to scare a lot of animals i can see this use to intimidate predator from them.

Dec 5, 2020 at 10:59 | comment | added | Monty Wild♦ | Is it possible that these "flames" are actually nothing of the sort... kind of like a heatless flame that is made from coloured cloth, lit from below by a lamp, and made to move by a fan? Or are you going to insist on a real energetic exothermic chemical reaction?
