Jun 8, 2015 at 20:23 comment added Ayelis I know there's not much information on orbital directions or axial tilts in these visualizations, but applying some of the solutions already mentioned in Samuel and Aify's answers might bridge that gap quite nicely.
Jun 8, 2015 at 20:12 comment added HDE 226868 You know what? I like this. My requirement still stands, but I might be willing to change that.
Jun 8, 2015 at 20:06 comment added Ayelis After thinking about it, I came up with... something exactly like a cross between Samuel's answer and Aify's answer. Good work, guys!

Jun 8, 2015 at 18:24 comment added Ayelis Oh, nevermind, you don't want "the entire setup from some angle"... Hmm... Let me think about this.
Jun 8, 2015 at 18:23 comment added Ayelis Ah, so perhaps something more like this? Though I'm not sure how you would indicate which items were more close... perhaps by changing the thickness/boldness of the orbit lines?

Described third option more fully.
Jun 8, 2015 at 18:12 comment added HDE 226868 I thought of this, but I didn't want to try to simulate three dimensions.
