Jun 6, 2015 at 7:56 comment added Aron @Aify and of course, what is more deadly than a stick wrapped with a box-jellyfish? TWO STICKS WRAPPED WITH BOX JELLYFISH ATTACHED TOGETHER WITH A CHAIN!
Jun 2, 2015 at 20:16 comment added Aify Depends - People used to hunt using Batrachotoxin laced arrows, and those are fatal on touch. There is no reality check tag on this question. I left it off on purpose, because the last time I asked a question WITH it on, I got these exact types of responses. I don't care for the fact that these would make horrid weapons in real life. I already knew that. The whole point of this question is to make those weapons even though they'd be outclassed by anything normal.
Jun 2, 2015 at 19:50 comment added Erik All of those weapons aren't fatal on an accidental touch. And if you have really thick gloves, you have the material needed to make slings, which are much better than jellyfish wrapped around sticks.
Jun 2, 2015 at 19:39 comment added Aify You don't have to wrap the entire Jellyfish around the stick - just cut off the tentacles and use those. Wearing really thick gloves is likely enough to not get stung while wrapping it. Your statement regarding the positioning of the poison in relation to the user vs the victim is also flawed - does that mean we shouldn't use handheld tazers either, because we're closer to the tazing portion than the enemy is? People wouldn't have used swords either, by that logic (Or knives, or anything sharp).
Jun 2, 2015 at 19:32 comment added Erik It also skips the step of wrapping the jellyfish around the branch in the first place. There's a good chance you'll not reach the battlefield simply because tightly wrapping a jellyfish around a branch without touching it is pretty difficult.
Jun 2, 2015 at 19:30 comment added Erik I think I'll take my chances with the unwrapped one. I don't know if I have enough control over the other one to not accidentally touch it myself. And if my opponent has the wrapped stick, I'll probably just slam mine into his as hard as I can and hope he poisons himself, since his body is closer to the poison than mine is.
Jun 2, 2015 at 19:27 comment added Aify The question is, what kills better? A tree branch or a tree branch wrapped in box-jellyfish tentacles? I don't know about you, but I'd take the wrapped one over the normal one every time.
