Politics, economics, religion (very religious period), language, even cultural shifts across national borders. The average info we come across in a day today exceeds what they were exposed to in a year or even a lifetime. It was a time of superstition and, when you realize that, you discover that the science needed to get to the moon would have to contend with the Spanish Inquisition. And if you change the universe to make it easier, you change all of those things and more. In a nutshell, that's what I mean by "sociodemographic." | |
