Especially with a tank that can push through/run over any roadblock. Maybe if we were talking an Everest expedition, or going through the Amazon rainforest. But that's kinda specific. | |

So naturally speaking, if yo were in a tank, (since there not the fastest things in the world) your journey would be much longer than 2-5 months. | |

With a vehicle you can carry a larger amount of food and have a greater range for scavenging, with the flipside of having to get fuel. Depending on how the apocalypse happened, low grade fuel like aviation fuel might be plentiful so this could be a good trade-off. | |
