May 15, 2015 at 14:34 | comment | added | KSmarts | @DavidMulder It's the linked question that asks about stereotypical zombies. This question does not, and the answer to the previous question that is being used as a basis describes a non-traditional zombie. In particular, they have insatiable hunger, but it is not mentioned to be for human flesh in particular.
May 15, 2015 at 0:28 | comment | added | Murphy | @Michael It's a genuine but humorous answer based on the specific description of the zombies linked in the question. For more traditional zombies I'd be recommending totally different things.
May 14, 2015 at 17:07 | comment | added | Michael | I just have to know, did you intend this to be an actual answer, or were you just trolling and somehow everyone upvoted? XD
May 14, 2015 at 16:49 | comment | added | Murphy | I'm sure you can get BBQ versions that can be run with firewood or make some equivalent.
May 14, 2015 at 16:13 | comment | added | ckersch | Where do you plug the bread maker in on a 5-month scouting mission?
May 14, 2015 at 13:24 | comment | added | Fhnuzoag | I think the answerer has it right that systematic approaches to distracting and baiting zombies is generally a good idea. In cases where the zombies are responsive to noise (e.g. The Walking Dead) it would be wise to set up large remote controlled speakers to control and direct zombies. Maybe in this case it would be best to bring with you a screaming teenager in a shark cage....
May 14, 2015 at 5:36 | comment | added | user9584 | If it's human blood the zombies are after, you can carry around some of your blood or someone else's in a vial and inject it with a syringe into snacks. I imagine you would want to use this sparingly in emergency scenarios only, for the lack of blood can cause a shortage of oxygen during high aerobic things such as running.
May 13, 2015 at 22:19 | comment | added | David Mulder | @Samuel For normal humans that's absolutely true, but the question was asking for "stereotypical zombies". I can't say I have seen a lot of zombie movies, but "stereotypical zombies" would probably prefer eating each other over snacks (though typically they just survive magically without eating anything staying dormant for unrealistic periods of time... which is part of the reason I don't watch zombie movies anymore :+ ).
May 13, 2015 at 22:16 | comment | added | Samuel | @DavidMulder I hunger for steak and bacon, but I'll eat whatever comes along if I'm insanely hungry. Having a preference does not mean it's mutually exclusive.
May 13, 2015 at 22:11 | comment | added | David Mulder | @Samuel Fair enough, then I guess it's a bit of a poor answer as the question specified that they hungered for human flesh like "stereotypical zombies". Preferring snacks over humans as this answer describes is not the kind of hunger that fits "stereotypical zombies".
May 13, 2015 at 22:03 | comment | added | Samuel | @DavidMulder It's thirst for blood and undefined hunger. But it is open to interpretation. Which means you don't really have grounds for saying Murphy is wrong. My interpretation, and I did write the answer we're discussing, is that the hunger and thirst are not limited to human blood.
May 13, 2015 at 21:58 | comment | added | David Mulder | @Samuel Except that's a hunger for blood... human blood I guess based on the context of zombies. Has nothing to do with snacks or bread.
May 13, 2015 at 21:53 | comment | added | Samuel | @DavidMulder I would -1 your comment for not reading the source material describing the zombies. They do need to eat.
May 13, 2015 at 19:18 | comment | added | David Mulder | -1 Too much realism for a question about zombies... zombies don't need to eat ;-) ... or something like that :+
