Oct 23, 2019 at 10:58 | comment | added | Logan | @overlord - Haha, I just assumed real-time snapshots of the entire internet, were included in 'all of human knowledge'. What might be a more interesting dynamic for the OP to consider would be some <<quantum physics woo-woo warning:>> sort of quantum-entanglement within his phone means that he is inextricably connected to the internet of the year 2019 (advancing forward as usual), in spite of his personal relative temporal predicament. Of course, nobody on the internet of 2019 would ever believe him, so any questions he has must be phrased as hypothetical where interactions are needed.

Oct 22, 2019 at 13:10 | comment | added | overlord | Although if it contains all of human knowledge I suppose the entire internet was backed up on that thing
Oct 22, 2019 at 13:09 | comment | added | overlord | @Logan although your comment makes my answer look better, I can't help but think about the fact you couldn't look up anything without internet.
Oct 22, 2019 at 10:03 | comment | added | Logan | How do you know this very post and its subsequent answers aren't the very piece of human knowledge the OP's character looks up using this phone? Now that's meta...

Oct 22, 2019 at 5:58 | comment | added | Mast | "Assuming you are transported back with a full battery, look up and write down everything you can on electrical engineering in the time the phone is still running." I will guarantee you the battery will run out before you're finished. Can't be done in a couple of hours, no way.
Oct 22, 2019 at 3:23 | comment | added | Steve | This is recursive, i.e. what are the instructions that would be quickly written down from said repo of human knowledge?
