Jul 14, 2019 at 10:36 | comment | added | Lupus | @AlexP The whole wiki site was using it. I thought if that works them, it should work here, but not that the images are a necessity for the question.

Jul 14, 2019 at 10:33 | comment | added | AlexP | So basically you clearly acknowledge that you do not have a license to re-use the images, but did so anyway...
Jul 14, 2019 at 10:29 | comment | added | Lupus | @AlexP Thanks, I hope this works, can't polish it further right now.

Jul 14, 2019 at 10:24 | comment | added | AlexP | It doesn't matter from where the images are, what counts is whether the source has clear attribution and licensing information. You cannot say "they published it on the internet so I am sure that I can reuse it".
Jul 14, 2019 at 10:17 | comment | added | Lupus | @AlexP Yes, the images would be from a game's wiki. Most ecosystems means various temperature ranges and such (it is from a game, like the Zerg Overlord). Yes, this creature seem totally implausible, which is why I wondered if it could exist in some way.
Jul 14, 2019 at 10:13 | comment | added | AlexP | "How do I credit them": picture by <name or pseudonym>, available under <license name> license at <url> address (or from <title> book). The pictures are available under a license allowing re-use, aren't they?
Jul 14, 2019 at 10:11 | comment | added | AlexP | What does "integrate in most ecosystems" mean when the creature sustains itself on a "strictly mineral diet" and excretes non-biological substances? And where does it get it's energy from? Reducing ores to metals requires a lot of energy -- have you ever seen a blast furnace?
Jul 14, 2019 at 10:11 | comment | added | Lupus | @L.Dutch Okay, Thanks! Will be more careful in the future. If I include the images, how do I credit them without seeming as advertising?
Jul 14, 2019 at 10:09 | comment | added | L.Dutch♦ | There was no problem with the images, and the post as it stands now looks fine to me.
