Jan 29, 2019 at 18:48 comment added Magus @Mazura There's a forest full of animals, just like any other forest. Only these animals can talk to each other and plan for the thing they're tasked with: not letting humans in. All I want to know is: Can they do it? I didn't mention any lore, story or opinion. It's a simple yes or no question (though the essence of this site requires you to justify).
Jan 29, 2019 at 18:25 comment added Mazura @Magus - IMO this is a story based question. Aside from that, I see no reason to differentiate "intelligent animals" from humans (which is what we are). Unless you're wondering about thumbs and stuff; which honestly I'm pretty tired of the, can 'animals' do what we do questions. The answer to is, do they have thumbs and a culture, and a way to record history or otherwise perpetrate it to their descendants - and use of tools? - that would better suit them for defense, of an invading force completely operating in enemy territory. I need the logistic situation for both and how they got there.
Jan 29, 2019 at 18:14 comment added Magus @Mazura Note that I never mentioned humans used to live in the forest. They were banished - meaning they're just not allowed to enter anymore. Humans are the apex predator on Earth, but our world doesn't have magical forests with intelligent animals in them. Nobody can tell if humans would still be the apex predator if animals could organize. But that's not the point of the question. I'm not asking wether humans would still be the ultimate predator if animals were intelligent - I'm not denying it either. I'm just asking what could intelligent animals do to defend themselves against humans.
Jan 29, 2019 at 17:54 comment added Mazura But then they went on to actually answer the question :) - if humans are still the top apex predator on the planet, nothing can stop them. +2
Jan 29, 2019 at 17:50 comment added Mazura @Magus - "There's no need to discuss why the humans were banished or who are the protagonists" - If you told us why some plot reason happened or why it worked, then no, there wouldn't be.
Jan 29, 2019 at 17:48 comment added Mazura "For some plot reason, humans were banished from the forest a long time ago." answer : FOR SOME PLOT REASON. +1
Jan 29, 2019 at 16:57 comment added Magus Yes, they were indeed banished by an entity, but that's not in the scope of the question, that's merely context. Also, I did state in the beginning of the question that this story is a fable... Anyway, I have two opposing sides: Intelligent animals and human invaders. I just need to know what is the best way for the animals to stop the humans from advancing into the forest. There's no need to discuss why the humans were banished or who are the portagonists.
