Dec 5, 2018 at 17:51 comment added Theo Brinkman So, obviously, they pilgrims are given back their original possessions upon leaving, and only those goods from the city which survive the bath on the way out (aka: virtually nothing) can be taken from the city. The pilgrims go through a normal waterfall as they see their 'god-city' goods go through the god water through a gilded fence. Anything that does survive the trip goes through a second waterfall (normal water) to remove the residual acid, rendering it safe to handle again.

Dec 4, 2018 at 8:32 comment added Ister Aqua Regia is a mixture of concentrated hydrochloric acid and concentrated nitric acid. Both very powerful. In reality most things will dissolve in this mixture. Do not try putting your bare hand into it or you'll get severe burns.
