About 600k people live on the higher areas of Tibetan plateau exceeding 4.5 km with less than 11.9% oxygen. The highest city is La Rinoconada in Peru with an altitude of 5.1 km and only about 11% oxygen. Humans would have easily adapted the 15% Oxygen level. | |
