Mirrors are only valuable when the heat-generating capacity of the light source does not exceed the heat-absorbing capability of the "silvering" (the material that makes something reflective, whether polished chrome or silvered glass, etc.) because no mirror reflects 100%. Terrawatts are a whole lot of energy, and you can expect them to melt the backing material, unless that material can handle the heat. What about your backing makes the mirror practical? | |
