I'd feel comfortable with calling it a 400% margin easily. I think the changes in architecture get more interesting once you get to modern cities with modern construction and modern safety margins. | |

Taking that into account and for the standards of a pre-industrial society, what do you think would be the limit in regard to the size of the largest buildings that could be built (castles or fortresses)? | |
