Maybe the "breath weapon" is just the dragon having very hot breath when it has to move? I think we forgot that alternative in discussing breath weapons before. Using some kind of heat pump to cool the blood by heating outgoing air might make more sense than exotic chemical reactions. And it would hurt a lot if you got hit by it. But yeah (back on topic) using the wings as radiators would make sense, some large animals have actually used similar solution. | |
