They are already living under indefinite siege, having a chicken around for some religious hollyday or celebration can help a lot with the moral. | |

If you're going to be limited to rooftops, then stick to grains and beans which can be dried and eated year-round fairly easily, besides vegetables. Trees should grow fine on the ground as long as the monsters don't destroy them | |
