Jan 21, 2018 at 7:36 comment added JBH I disagree with the close votes for this question. However, being an introvert, the world would be pretty much the same with one possible exception... it would be a bit quieter.

Jan 15, 2018 at 6:32 comment added jamesqf @Olga: OTOH, better internet dating sites might let people so inclined connect for sex, and possible reproduction, without the bother of a lot of messy socialization. Or social activities we don't enjoy: see my above comment about bars and loud "music".

Jan 14, 2018 at 20:39 comment added Olga @L.Dutch introversion is not so much about quantity of interactions with people as about quality. Introverts avoid meaningless (in their opinion) social interactions (that many extraverts enjoy), but even the purest introvert will welcome a high-quality relationship and socialisation. There is no risk of extinction, just fewer one-night stands and unwanted babies.
Jan 14, 2018 at 20:00 comment added jamesqf @Mike Scott: Likewise, extroverts might not necessarily like bars and nightclubs, which (in the current world, anyway) tend to be filled with obnoxious drunks and/or "music" played at a volume which makes conversation impossible.

Jan 14, 2018 at 17:23 comment added Lio Elbammalf One interesting result of changing the ratios might be a more diverse group of friends for extroverts. Currently (according to this question) extroverts make up 3 in every 4 people so the extrovert has two others who are happy to socialise as much as them, in a world where extroverts only made up 1 in every 4 then, in order to get the same level of socialisation, the extrovert would have to talk to people from another group. Even this is speculation but anything further, especially something as involved as town planning, would be too opinion based.

Jan 14, 2018 at 15:32 comment added Mike Scott @MichaelKjörling Myers-Briggs is rightly criticised, but introversion/extraversion is one of the Big Five personality traits that do seem to have some scientific basis (unlike the other three Myers-Briggs pairs).
Jan 14, 2018 at 13:49 comment added user While Myers-Briggs has some points, it is also heavily critized. Even if you look just at the central dichotomies, you will note that they aren't binary; rather, each of them is a continuum, which gets boiled down to a binary selection (for example, extraversion/introversion). People generally aren't binary, and people can absolutely act differently in different contexts.
Jan 14, 2018 at 10:29 comment added Bellerophon @L.Dutch Lots of IVF with sperm donors as the fathers.
Jan 14, 2018 at 9:53 comment added Raditz_35 @L.Dutch well that's a debatable statement. Even if you define an introvert in such a way that he can't reproduce, who says it's completely genetic? Seen people change after they started having some confidence. Raise an extrovert in a cellar and he'll be "introverted". Maybe in his world there is a lot if rape
Jan 14, 2018 at 9:41 comment added L.Dutch @Raditz_35, if there would be 100% introvert they would go extinct in 1 generation. To mate one has to socialize.
Jan 14, 2018 at 9:24 comment added Raditz_35 There are not black and white extroverts and introverts, that's just something self-proclaimed introverts like to bitch about. Those things come in degrees and are situational and depend on a lot of other factors and so does everything people say e.g. introverts are and do. So my question is: in your world, is it truly black and white? Because that should mean special places to go for either faction no matter if 1:3 or 3:1

Jan 14, 2018 at 8:37 comment added L.Dutch Restaurants are not purposely meant for socializing. They are mainly meant for providing food. I met my current partner in a library and the previous one at the church. So your partition in introvert/extrovert places is totally arbitrary
Jan 14, 2018 at 7:59 comment added Mike Scott You don’t understand introversion. Introverts may find social interaction tiring, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they don’t enjoy it, just that they need some time out to recharge their batteries. Your city should still have bars and social clubs, but perhaps with some small quiet rooms where people can go to be alone for a while.
